October 2024 – Traffic Report (2nd Month, 7 posts & 9 visitors)

Hello! Welcome to the traffic report for 2nd month of The Blog Strategist!

I cannot believe that yet another month passed by! Time flies!

And from the point of view of performance, it was a disappointing one. But hey, how can I complain when I hardly focused on TBS. Any which ways, it’s still an improvement over September 2024 – I got 9 visitors in Oct vs 0 in Sep! Yaay!

September 2024 – Traffic Report (1st Month, 1 Page & Zero Traffic!)

Before we take a look at the updates, let’s have a look at the 3 goals I kept for October:

  • Publish 10 blog posts (of genuine value & seo optimized)
  • Publish “Privacy Policy” page – which is a mandatory legal page every blog should have
  • Create a Pinterest account for The Blog Strategist

October 2024 Traffic Report:

Let’s see how the month of October 2024 went in detail.

  • Total No of Users = 9 (vs 0 last month)
  • Total No of New Users = 9 (vs 0 last month)
  • Total Sessions = 11 (vs 0 last month)
  • Total No of Pageviews = 19 (vs 0 last month)
  • Avg. Engagement Time = 57 Sec (vs 0 last month)
  • No of Posts = 7 (vs 0 last month)

There was a good mix of countries from which the traffic came from.

With respect to sessions, there were 11 sessions in total with 5 coming from organic traffic and 6 direct traffic.

I published the below posts in October:

  2. 3 Types of Blogposts that Works Best on Pinterest
  3. How to Choose the Right Niche for Your Blog?
  4. How to Choose the Perfect Domain Name for Your Blog?
  5. September 2024 – Traffic Report (1st Month, 1 Page & Zero Traffic!)
  6. Where Should You Host Your Blog? (I recommend WordPress & Cloudways)
  7. Which Blog Theme Should You Use? (I Recommend GeneratePress)

Now, coming to how I did against the plans I set for October:

  • Publish 10 blog posts (of genuine value & seo optimized)
    • I published 7 blog posts (3 posts short)
  • Publish “Privacy Policy” page – which is a mandatory legal page every blog should have
    • I didn’t publish it
  • Create a Pinterest account for The Blog Strategist
    • I didn’t create the account

So, overall, a disappointing month, but better compared to September.

Because 7 posts is better than nothing. 9 viewers are better than nothing.

And like I said in last month report, I am in no hurry with The Blog Strategist. For me, TBS is a passion project and a stress buster where I want to spend time when I am free. I do want the blog to grow, but gradually, without taking any added pressure in my life.

What are my plans for November?

Below are my goals for November:

  • Publish 20 blog posts in total (of genuine value) – ie, 13 new posts
  • Publish “Privacy Policy” page – which I didn’t in October
  • Create a Pinterest account for The Blog Strategist – which I didn’t in October

Again, I have limited my goals to just 3 so that it is practically possible to attain. Let’s see how it goes!

The October Story

Well, I was highly motivated in the first half of October – almost all the progress happened till Oct 13th. All 7 posts were published within that date.

And then came the holidays. I also got quite swamped at work as well. Both together meant no time for any writing. It’s okay, I have a positive feel about November, let’s see.

I have a lot of official travel planned in November which means finding time will be an issue. I am unavailable the entire next week. Which means whenever I find some peaceful time to write, I should utilize it!

On a personal note, after I lost my father in June, life has been different & difficult. There was a local event that was conducted in his memory a few days back – brought back a lot of memories. I have also been thinking a lot about life recently, trying to figure out what’s happening.

It’s like I am having an existential crisis – I don’t understand what the hell are we doing in this little planet. What’s the whole point of everything?

I wonder what I would be doing 30 years later! Would I be in corporate? Would I do a PhD & become a professor/scientist? Would I be in business? Would I have traveled the world? Would I be in Govt? Would I even be alive?

A lot of time goes thinking about these stuff nowadays.

I also took a gym membership, went for 2 days exactly in Oct – a disappointing month for health & wealth, haha!

That’s how October went. I am looking forward to a fruitful November.
